DETAILS: Joe Gagnon, Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE), will brief CPA members, via telephone conference call, about the current issues surrounding the global problem of currency manipulation, harm to the U.S. economy and potential solutions.
Joseph E. Gagnon, Senior Fellow since September of 2009, was Visiting Associate Director, Division of Monetary Affairs (2008–09) at the U.S. Federal Reserve Board. Previously he served at the U.S. Federal Reserve Board as Associate Director, Division of International Finance (1999–2008), and Senior Economist (1987–90 and 1991–97). He has also served at the U.S. Treasury Department (1994–95 and 1997–99) and has taught at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley (1990–91).
Following the briefing, Mr. Gagnon will take questions from callers with Charles Blum, CPA Director of Government Relations, moderating.
